Explore & Experience
The small town of Ballito has certainly come along way in the last 10 or so years.
Offering a myriad of activities from extreme sports, to site seeing and lazying on the beach, to dining out at some top-notch restaurants, or simply just catching a movie at the local cinema.
There is much on offer for every age and this area does not disappoint when it comes to entertainment. The Dolphin Coast also has some of the most picturesque scenery in the country, not to mention wildlife and ocean life.
Snorkeling
Nothing better than exploring the amazing rock pools on our coastline. With warm water accompanied by good weather most of the year, getting out there with a pair of goggles is exceptionally relaxing and good for the soul.
Sight Seeing
Check out some of the old landmarks in KZN, like the Umhlanga Lighthouse only 20 min away as well as Chakas High Rock famously named after the man himself, King Shaka…. not forgetting Moses Mabida Stadium only 30 min from Ballito.

Mountain Biking
For the outdoor enthusiasts, Holla Trails at Sugar Rush Park provides many hours of adventure on the numerous marked and well-maintained trails. If you haven’t brought down your bike, you can hire one at the park. There is also a lovely restaurant to sit and relax after a gruelling time out in the sugarcane.
Ushaka Marine World
World renown Aquarium found only half an hour’s drive from Ballito, offering a wide variety of amenities and activities. Besides the stunning array of ocean creatures available for close up viewing, there is also a 16-hectare theme park which was opened on 30 April 2004 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Ziplining
At ClubVenture you can enjoy life from a bird’s, eye view on a 1,5km Zipline Tour including the first in the world “PARAZIP”. Enjoy the view as you zipline from the top of the mountain with a parachute attached to you.
Dining Out
We have two new shopping centres, Lifestyle and The Junction, 800m from Kingsley House packed full of beautiful shops, restaurants, gin bars and a brewery. An excellent outing for the whole family.
Microlighting
The Ballito Microlight strip is situated next to Sugar Rush. There is nothing more exhilarating than to take to the skies and adventure along our coastline as well as inland taking in the beauty of the North Coast.
Crocodile Creek
Nestled in subtropical coastal bush, overlooking the Utongati River flood plain, midway between Ballito and Tongaat, in KZN you’ll find Crocodile Creek. They have roughly 10000 Nile Crocs, West African Dwarf Crocs, Slender-Snouted Crocs, American Alligators, deadly Mambas and a wide array of Snakes, Tortoises, Rabbits, Wild Monkeys, Banded Mongeese and more.
